Pray? Give?

When a blessing comes our way, it always makes me smile. When the blessing is completely
unexpected, it’s a reminder that I’m not in control and that God is with me. It’s also reassuring
because I know God is moving among us! I get to share with you one of those completely
unexpected blessings that came Hope’s way this week.

During this year’s Annual Meeting, I mentioned that I’ve been praying and hoping that this is the
year we get out of debt as a church. Just a few days later, a family reached out to share that
they’d also love to see us get out of debt. Feeling led by the Lord, they offered to provide a
dollar-for-dollar match through Sunday, March 3, up to $100,000. Pretty amazing!

It was almost five years ago that we started the Raising More Hope campaign. It was a $5
million project that allowed us to build our beautiful Barn, our new Kids Hall, and our Special
Needs room. We have now been in our new space for more than three years, and almost every
day our space is in use. I know many Hopesters have been making extra financial sacrifices for
the past five years to help make this happen. Please know I am very grateful!

We are currently $375,000 in debt, and I’d like to ask that we make a big push this coming
month to get that number as low as we can and maybe wipe it out completely!

I’d like to specifically ask a couple things of you:

#1 Would you please commit to pray for our church during this month?
#2 Would you consider giving above and beyond your normal weekly offering to help us get out
of debt?

For your gift to be a part of the $100,000 match offer, please make sure it is specially designated or marked for the Raising More Hope Campaign. Gifts can be given online at
welcome2hope.com/give, mailed to the church, or put in the offering boxes. For any questions,
please reach out to Kaycee Williams at kaycee@hopecc.net or call the church office (316) 858-
9100.

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under
compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in
all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work
(2 Cor. 9:7-
8).

Peace,
Nick
