Face to Face – Regathering Soon

Nick MartineauBlog

I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face-to-face, so that our joy may be complete. (2 John 12)

Tuesday we sent out a video with our Regathering plan. We are planning to gather together for our weekend service on June 21! We will meet outside at 10 a.m. in our new timber frame barn, which will be our plan for the following few weeks as well. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen many of you, and like the disciple John, I long to see you face-to-face so that our joy may be complete.

We have been working on a plan that we believe helps us safely regather as well as offers a handful of options for those that want to stay “distanced yet connected” during this time.

Online Options: For those who feel it is best to stay home during this time, please know we will continue pre-filming our services and will email them out to you all on Sunday mornings. Alternatively, we will be broadcasting our Sunday outdoor service via Facebook Live as well.

Drive-In Option: For those who want to gather on Sunday mornings but want to stay at a safe distance, we will designate some close parking spots to the barn and will give you an FM radio station frequency so you can tune in with us. Plan on rolling the windows down, singing loud, honking for “Yay! God’s!”, and waving to your friends!

Face-to-Face but “Back off”: For those who want to sit under the barn but want to ensure a safe distance from all your “hugging Hope friends,” we will provide you with some light-hearted “Back off” stickers. That way your friends’ “joy may be complete” by seeing you face-to-face without being cheek-to-cheek.

Ready for It All: For those who will be beating down the doors to get in, giving hugs and high fives, and just wanting it all back to normal…we get it. We want normal, too. But we do ask that we all be respectful and grace-filled as we may process this next step differently from one another.

During our outdoor services we will not be offering Kids or Youth programs. We will offer those programs again soon once we better understand and prepare for safety measures. Until then we will make our outdoor services a little shorter, more fun, and family-friendly.

I hope to see you all at 10 a.m. on June 21 for our BYOCC service (Bring Your Own Coffee and Chair). To best prepare yourself, please make sure to watch our Regather video at welcome2hope.com.

Peace,

Nick
