Hope High School Students!

We use our gifts to encourage others and lead one another closer to Jesus.

We are joyful when a part of the body is joyful and mourn when they mourn.

We seek to be the hands and feet of Christ to a lost and hurting world.

Wichita Mission Trip - July 28-30 2021

On this trip, students will begin to learn about the overall scope of missions and how we don't need to go far to serve and love people how God asks us to.

What is God's heart for the poor? How does he desire to participate in His work? What does it look like to live our lives on a mission (with purpose)?

We will also learn about some of the unique challenges of our inner city. In what ways do people in the inner-city experience brokenness (emotional, spiritual, physical, mental, monetary, etc.) and in what ways do we experience brokenness? How can we help others without hurting themselves or us in the process?

This trip is first available to incoming Freshmen, underclassmen who have never been a part of this trip, and upperclassmen who desire to be student leaders.

Pastor of SHYB Ministry:
Ben Griffis

Ben Griffis was a student in SHYB from 2010 to 2013; the summer following his Freshman year of college he interned with LeaderTreks in Chicago where he had the opportunity to serve alongside and mentor some Hope students.

The following summer, in 2015, he interned alongside Mark Hershey where he discovered his passion for youth ministry. In August of that year, he was hired on at Hope for part-time youth ministry. In April of 2017, Ben began full time at Hope as the pastor of High School ministry.

Ben desires for students to grow in sharing the gospel and has a vision for students to understand the joy of pursuing a life with Christ!
